Biography

Laurence joined 3i in 1994 and became part of the Growth Capital team in 2008. He previously ran the Cambridge office as part of the Venture Capital team. He specialises in semiconductor and wireless communication investments for 3i. Investments in which Laurence has been involved include CSR, Trigenix, UbiNetics and Ezurio.

Prior to 3i, Laurence worked for Deloitte & Touche in Leeds and San Francisco. He gained his software knowledge as an enthusiastic PC games developer in the early 1980s.

Laurence has a degree in Computer Science from Sheffield and is a qualified accountant. He currently sits on the Boards of Icera Semiconductor Inc and Velocix Ltd.
